Investment Consultant Biography

Max Callen Max Callen graduated from the University of Nebraska in 1972 with a degree in computer science. He spent 13 years in the banking industry in various lending and managerial capacities. During Max's banking career, he worked closely with businesses in credit analysis, lending and developing plans for growth and profitability. Max joined SMITH HAYES in March 1987. His background in commercial banking and his experience at SMITH HAYES is very beneficial in developing investment strategies for financial institutions, businesses and individuals throughout the state. He works extensively with corporate retirement plans. Max is also on the Hickman Community Foundation board and the Norris Schools Foundation Board. Max and his wife, Jean, have two sons. God and family are first in his life, and he enjoys coaching and supporting his children in their activities. He is also actively involved on the Board of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
