Matt Johnson

Matt Johnson, an Investment Consultant, joined SMITH HAYES in 2011. He is a native to Omaha, Nebraska, and graduated from the University of Nebraska-Omaha with a degree in Communications and Business Management in 1995. Matt spent more than 15 years in various corporate management positions providing guidance in corporate communications, marketing, and investor relations for public and privately held companies before transitioning into the financial services industry. He has worked with startups during their initial funding phase and owned his own business. Matt’s focus is to understand the needs of his clients and to help educate them on various investment possibilities while developing plans to help them meet their short-term and long-term goals. He is part of the "Zahm Team" which consists of Lauren Faist, Matt Johnson, and Brian Zahm.

Matt spends his spare time supporting several local nonprofit organizations including Big Brothers/Big Sisters of the Midlands, Angels Among Us, the Children’s Hospital Foundation, and the Omaha Food Bank. Matt and his wife, Carolyn, have two children, Sydney and Cade. He enjoys golfing, reading, traveling, and supporting college athletics.
